Rushton Early Learning Center Groundbreaking

slide_woodlawnThe Mike & Gillian Goodrich Foundation continues to partner with the Woodlawn Foundation, the lead organization supporting the revitalization of this east Birmingham community. Much progress has been made with the opening of 64 units of mixed-income townhomes and the rehabilitation of 64 owner-occupied homes with more underway. Construction is underway for the model home of, The Cottages at Wood Station that will include 12 single family homes.

Work has also begun on the Rushton Early Learning and Family Support Center which will open in early 2017. The center will offer high quality child care and early learning opportunities to 100 neighborhood children. In addition, the Woodlawn Foundation continues to support its WIN schools by providing a community resource coordinator at each of the five WIN schools.
