A grant of $25,000 to support Thrive Together Jefferson County, a collaboration of three non-profit partners brought together through The Women’s Fund of Greater Birmingham. This two-generational approach is a national research-informed model that intentionally integrates and aligns services for kids and adults simultaneously. Thrive Together Jefferson County provides seamless, wraparound services to women and their families, including emergency crisis assistance, quality child care, education and career training, family coaches, and housing to disrupt the cycle of generational poverty and create a clear path to success. In response to COVID-19, we are taking action to ensure that needs are met across the greater Birmingham community. We are continuing our quarterly grantmaking; however, we have extended the application deadline to June 1 in order to give our nonprofit organizations some extra time to respond to the impact of COVID-19.
